Float – Shimmer reflections

During the 2015 Strand Ephemera I created an artwork titled Shimmer of silver discs that reflected its surrounds: the beach, water and sky, tessellating the image into Pointillist dots of differing colours.  Float recreates that image from reused plastic lids harking back to the many bits of plastic drifting on top of our oceans that I see begin their journey on my daily bike ride, in the creek, park or street.
